This week's nursery rhyme focus was Incy Wincy Spider, Little Miss Muffet and Baa Baa Black Sheep.
The children sang the rhymes numerous times and we even got to act it out using our puppets.
We learnt some new words for vocabulary time such as tuffet, curds and whey, climbed, spout, dame, master, full, dried and even the word abdomen😁.
We looked at the one to one correspondence strategy in maths by matching the correct number of legs to our spiders. The children already knew that spiders have 8 legs and we should not go near red back spiders.
We matched peg legs to our spiders for a fine motor game.
We played with real spouts and spiders in the water trough during outside time.
We traced the letters of our name using real sheep wool with paint and the children made a really cute Baa Baa Black Sheep.
Now we are all ready for a rest over the long weekend 😴
