Nursery Rhyme time
Humpty Dumpty
After singing the rhyme and acting it out with our classroom humpty dumpty, the children had to put a humpty dumpty back together again. We had a discussion on how we could do this. We had suggestions of bandaids, bandages and glue. We also had some great safety tips for Humpty such as having a pool and trampoline under the wall.
The children learnt another rhyme to help them to get clever at using their scissors ...
Two fingers on the bottom, thumb up the top.
open wide and chop chop chop.
Here we are busy making our Humpty Dumpties;
The children even got to use trial and error to see a real egg dropping experiment. We worked out that the egg wasn't very good at staying together after falling onto the bricks. Some children suggested using the grass or the blue mat. We even used some soft wool material to help soften the fall. I had a very engaged crowd 👍
Here is our Birthday wall. In Kindy it's a big deal turning 4 and 5.
This is me and my Family: We are all apart of Kindergarten at OLC. Please keep sending in your family photos if you haven't already.
