- If your child did not read the book, it still must be returned as our librarian changes all of the packs and does not have any spares if one is forgotten.
- If your child is sick, please endeavor to bring it to school with a sibling or another parent as it can affect the whole class if one book is not brought back.
Obviously the stories are too difficult for your child to read so please make this a special time that you can enjoy together. Some books are just picture books and do not have any words.
Below is an example of what the packs will look like and what they will have in them.
FROM THE LIBRARIAN:
Beginning of Term 3 PLD bag (Comprehension Pack) information
Books are distributed on Wednesday/Thursday and need to be returned on the Monday your childs group has Kindy.
As the trolley box is in the classroom,the books can be returned any day, as long as it is before they are due back.
Each fortnight books are rotated to a pre determined schedule. If more than 2 packs are not returned in a particular fortnight the class does not get any PLD bags for that week.
If you know your child will not be at school (eg on extended leave/holiday) please let the teacher know and do not take a package.
If your child is sick on Monday please try to return the pack - eg with a friend or a sibling.
The pack needs to be returned even if it has not been read/finished.
If pack is not returned on Monday you will get an SMS message from myself (Mary-lee Kemp) in the afternoon. If you get a message you need to return the pack to the classroom before school Wednesday.
If you notice anything wrong with the package ( eg pages missing, ripped. Question sheet scribbled on,) please write a note and leave it inside the package so I can see it when returning it.
If pack is overdue more than a month you will receive an account - each pack costs $20-25.
