What a magical and colourful week it was celebrating rainbow colours. We even had a real rainbow in the sky on one of the Kindy days this week.
The children made their own blanket using spray bottles filled with the primary colours.
In maths, we sorted smarties into their coloured groups and talked about the concepts more and less. We even worked out something sneaky about the company 'Nestle'. Some Kindies had 14 smarties all together in their packet and some had 11. That was a BIG problem haha! I'll have to explain to the children about weight next lesson.
We read the dreamtime story, " How the birds got their colours". We even had a rainbow bird in our classroom that day.
Let's make a rainbow using play dough and beads to help strengthen our little fingers.
Another rainbow bird...
Acting out the rainbow song with coloured popsticks.
Luis and Vinny were the sun and rain in our story.
Counting is serious work..
Making a rainbow in science using smarties. Don't worry the children weren't allowed to eat these ones.
Rainbow number sort
Painting our own rainbows using the correct order of the colours
Cubby and story time!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BEAUTIFUL INDIGO. I hope you enjoyed being 4 with all your friends.
Rainbow day dance party in the playground
I'm very excited to introduce our new Kindy mat. The children are getting to tall and big and we needed more space for learning together.
What colour square are you going to choose today!
