ANZAC DAY IN KINDY

I hope everyone had a lovely Anzac long weekend!

In Kindy, we celebrated ANZAC day.

The children listened to the story ANZAC Ted and got to meet the real life ANZAC Ted. The teddy bear didn't look very nice and he looked old and damaged. The children learnt why he was special and why he looked the way he did.

We made poppies to remember the soldiers who fought in the war.

We set up camp and trenches just like the soldiers did with our toy army set. We didn't fight with them because we know that was the sad part about war. Instead our army people were set up to look after the land.

Kindy Red were able to attend the ANZAC day assembly. They were very responsible at joining in with the last post. I was very proud of them.

Kiki from Kindy Blue told us a story about her great grandfather going to war and Dallas from Kindy Red got to march with his Pop in the parade.

Lest we forget 💗
