Kindy Red Christmas Concert Information    SAVE  THE DATE 

The OLC  whole school Christmas Concert is Tuesday, Dec 7th (Week 9) commencing at 5.30pm. The Kindy students will be sitting with Miss Horrocks before they perform, once their routine has finished (they are the third performance of the night) they are welcomed to sit with their families. If one adult could please come and collect their child/children after their dance routine that would be wonderful.

The theme for the end of year concert dress is ‘Casual Christmas Wear’. Christmas colours, t-shirts, dresses etc and Christmas accessories are all perfect for the occasion. Kindy Red are performing a Shrek themed dance. If you have any princess/prince crowns, or any Shrek inspired head wear, please feel free to wear them! Students to wear sneakers please. Any questions please email ellie.haines@cewa.edu.au. I can’t wait for you to see your children shine, they have all blown me away this Semester! Thank you- Mrs Haines

Week 9: Wednesday the 8th of December is Kindy Red’s Nativity play in hall @ 9.15am  ( hopefully they wont be too tired). The children will also be receiving their kindergarten certificates. A note will be sent home regarding costumes. Parents and Grandparents welcome to attend. 

We can try and make some crowns in Kindy 

                                                                Tiaras are great too. 

Vinnies Christmas Appeal 

There will be a box at the front of Kindy for collections for Vinnie's Christmas Appeal. OLC families are asked to donate Christmas Goodies: Choccies, bonbons, puddings,  etc Please be generous and thoughtful in what you donate.  If you have other childern in the school then only one item per class is absolutely fine. 💗

 Hey Parents!

Wowzers! Can someone tell this term to slow down. The following information is regarding events coming up to end this memorable year at OLC Kindy.

Week 8:  KINDY BLUE NATIVITY PLAY: Thursday the 2nd of December @ 9.15am in the Hall. Save the date. 

Note being sent home soon for costumes. The class will be performing the Nativity play and they will be receiving their Kindergarten certificates. 

Week 9:

Week 1/2/3

 

Open the door, get on the floor everybody walk like a dinosaur! 

It has been all about dinorama in Kindy over  the first few weeks of Term 4. Learning to speak fluent dinosaur is very tricky, however the children know how to pronounce most of the scientific names  better than their teachers. 

A huge welcome  to  Hudson Duffy and his family to Kindy Blue.

Another huge welcome to Mila Pretorious and her family to Kindy Blue. 

Thank you for being our new friends. 

Work and play with our dinosaur worlds. It is hard work being an archaeologist.  

Airport: children can only dream about the places they will go. So far we have flown to Rottonest, Africa and Busselton. 

Hospital home corner: We are so lucky to have all our Doctors, nurses. lifeguards and paramedics in the world.

Initial sound focus: recognition and letter formations

So far we have focused on the letter sounds: k b v e j and n

The children get introduced to the capital letters and names, however, more focus goes on learning the initial sounds the letters make and learning to recognise the lower case letters.

Literacy and numeracy centre games:

Beat the bear has been a popular game this week.
