Whats been happening in Kindy Weeks 3-6

Each week the Kindies have been having fun exploring with  colours, learning to recognise their 2D shapes in the environment and also focusing on our alphabet programme. 

So far we have been focusing on the letter sounds:  
S for snake 
a for apple
t for Tiger 

p for pop
i for itchy 
n for nose  

To help young children learn to say and recognise their sounds we have been doing classroom word brainstorms, singing songs, letter formation activities and phonics games. When we introduce the letter formations, we teach the upper case letters unintentional and we focus more on how to recognise the lowercase letters. This helps young children have more early success with their reading and writing development in the future.

Once again thank you parents for making drop off so successful this Term. The children know about the gate and they have settled in beautifully.  So thank you very much.

Week 3 Home learning

Let's Begin Week 3!
Hope all the Mum's had a wonderful Mothers' day yesterday!  🌷🌻

Thank you Parents for your ongoing support during this time. It's been lovely to hear that many Kindies are returning this week. Drop off/pick up procedures remain the same according to the email sent out. Children can be dropped off at Kindy/Pre-Primary gate from bottom car park and collected by their teachers. Please let me know if your child needs to be put on pick up lane in the afternoon. Your child will have face-to face teaching from their Kindergarten teachers as normal. 

Kindies who are returning don't forget drink bottles, fruit, lunch, small pillow and a jumper. Also, please return scrapbook only from take home package, all other resources can be kept at home. 👍

Kindy Blue have their Monday this week.  

Can your child wear something Blue/Green on Tuesday or Wednesday.
