Kindies I hope you haven't grown taller without me...
We are back ready to continue our home learning journey together. I miss the Kindies smiley faces but I hope every family has had an enjoyable and safe holiday break.
Welcome back to Term Two! It's still hard to believe that the start of this term will look and feel very different, but I hope together we can continue to learn in true Kindy style... exploring and having fun.
Families at home will receive a weekly overview and daily schedule here on the blog. More specific instructions and activities will be clearly explained on SEESAW ( you should all have your sign in password by now). You will have the opportunity to see videos, links, concrete tasks and educational songs from the classroom teacher ( now no judging here I was definitely not trained to be in Hollywood maybe playschool in the 80's) 😊
Let's Begin Week One! School starts on Wednesday the 29th of April. I have provided two days worth of learning for each class. This doesn't mean you have pressure put upon you to complete everything. Families have the right to learn at their own pace and fit in with their busy home routines.
This week can your child wear something Red on one of their Kindy Days.
We must start with a good morning/hello song. It's a new one, but have ago at following the actions by pressing on the song clip.

Have your child sign their name in on their laminated chart. If you have a Red texta that will be even great as we are exploring our Red primary colour today.
Miss Horrocks would love to know about something your child did on the holidays. Can they share WHERE 🌍 they went ( at home hehe) , WHAT❓ they did and WHO🤼 they were with.
( see SEESAW for instructions). Maybe your child's story is about bike riding, fishing, egg hunt,at the beach or playing in the backyard etc.

Hi Kindy families, No home learning this week as it's officially Easter holidays. Lets all relax, rest and spend time with families ( I think that's all we can do!). I just wanted to say that despite what's going on in the world right now, I have been so appreciative to have taught your babies for their first term of Kindy. I am so proud of how they have all settled in to Kindy life, made new friends and how much they are growing and learning everyday. Thank you to all the parents for helping make Term 1 a happy and successful place to learn. We know term 2 might look a bit different, but again we are all in this together. At this stage, information for Term 2 will be on the blog and Seesaw after the holidays. Stay tuned.... " Efficient clean up can only be achieved by the 'clean up song' ( clean up the house- bear in the big blue house) " The song 'let it go' can only be played once a week. Stay strong for baby shark also". " Try not to use the expression " I'll tell Miss Horrocks", however if it is necessary I give you permission". Something to do at home: Cooking Hot cross Buns Cook hot cross buns. Pipe a cross on the top of the bun with icing. ( the cross represents Jesus dying on the cross for us). You can use a scone recipe- lemonade scones are the best! you may choose to put spices/fruit into it.
